Spotlight: Associated Beth Rivkah Schools
Associated Beth Rivkah Schools recently transformed its lunchroom into a modern multipurpose venue, by installing a a state-of-the-art AV system. The upgraded facility now caters to various functions within the school.
In 2021 while planning the overall upgrades to the lunchroom, the school took the opportunity to work with New York based integrator Ahron Aronow of Elyon Systems to design an AV system incorporating K-array speakers, turning the space into a truly versatile and multi-use environment.
Two distinct audio zones within the venue offer a range of options for events. The stage area features two slim Python-KP102 speakers discreetly placed on either side with two Python-KP52 for front fill and two Thunder-KS2P I subwoofers situated under the stage.
The wider side of the room boasts four Kobra-KK102 speakers along the length, delivering crisp audio for spoken word and background music during events. Four custom-finished Rumble-KU210 subwoofers, recessed 20 feet in the ceiling, provide a powerful, unobtrusive full range audio solution. The almost "invisible" speakers, as described by the clients, not only meet the school's requirements but also contribute to the overall beauty of the room.
The successful implementation of the new audiovisual system by Elyon Systems has garnered positive feedback from faculty, teachers, and students who noted that with the improved acoustics, they “can finally hear what's going on". Recognizing the potential of this multifunctional area, Beth Rivkah has opened its doors to the broader community, offering the venue for rental purposes.
Spotlight: Dallas Cowboys Christmas Extravaganza
The holiday season in Texas kicked off with a dazzling display of festive cheer at the seventh annual Cowboys Christmas Extravaganza hosted by the Dallas Cowboys at The Star in Frisco last month.
As the world-famous Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders took center stage, a K-array sound system amplified the holiday spirit with every beat. Event producer MediaWest Events, joined forces with DANMARK AUDIO-VISUAL LLC to deliver an audio setup that truly captured the essence of the season. The meticulously designed sound system featured 8 flown Kayman-KY102 speakers strategically positioned to deliver an expansive sound experience to the 12,000 seat indoor multi-use events center.
Complementing this arrangement were four Thunder-KS4 I subwoofers responsible for delivering rich bass tones that resonated throughout the venue. To ensure optimal coverage and clarity, two Kobra-KK102 I speakers were strategically placed horizontally as front fill allowing for a well-balanced sound distribution, and ensuring that every corner of the stadium was enveloped in holiday melodies and announcements throughout the event.
Spotlight: Salem Church of God
Congregants at the Salem Church of God in Clayton, OH, can now look forward to a new worship experience, thanks to a recent K-array audio upgrade. The project, aimed at elevating the sound in the main area of the church, was completed by Ovation Audio Video.
Flown on 3 on each side of the sanctuary are six Kayman-KY102 loudspeakers providing enhanced clarity during sermons, song and worship throughout the nave. Additional Kayman-KY52 loudspeakers are attached to the bottom of the KY102s and angled down to deliver brilliant audio to the closer seats. To address the need for front fill, four Dragon-KX12 speakers have been strategically placed. This modern reinterpretation of a traditional coaxial 12" speaker provides clear and precise sound with minimal visual impact. Complementing the loudspeaker set up are two Thunder-KS4 I and two KS4P I subs, each equipped with 2 x 18" drivers to deliver deep and resonant bass.
At the core of the audio system is a powerful Kommander-KA104 amplifier. Known for its robust capabilities, this amplifier promises pristine audio quality and provides complete control over the entire loudspeaker setup, allowing for a tailored audio environment.
