Production Spotlight: 65th Annual Grammy Awards 2023

As history often repeats itself, this is especially true for the Recording Academy’s 65th Grammy Annual Awards.

Chosen once again for this year's internationally televised event to provide more clarity for nominees seated at tables are K-array's discreet Tornado-KT2 point source speakers. With their ability to effortlessly reproduce both speech and music at a higher SPL, the Tornado product line makes an excellent choice for fixed applications and installations where loud focused sound is required with minimal visual impact.

This audio reinforcement was hidden right next to the award stage within the table centerpieces, surrounded by some of the most successful names and acts in the music industry. You can check it out by clicking HERE!

Production Spotlight:
Super Bowl LVII

Thanks to veteran production company, CP Communications, several Pinnacle Systems, and KGEAR speakers were selected once again for FOX Sports broadcast studio - this time at Super Bowl LVII in Glendale, Arizona. The team at CP was able to create a versatile and physically flexible studio that provided a continuous sound experience for the live studio audience.

Thousands of fans prepared for kick-off  around the open air broadcast studio while millions more joined virtually to share in the  ultimate fan experience!

The Anakonda again was a hidden main attraction deployed as a perfect foldback monitor for the live TV studio audience.

New for this year's set design was the KGEAR GH12 - designed for high performance outdoor/indoor applications both for fixed and moving installations. This passive 12” coaxial element features a compact stainless steel, weather resistant cabinet that benefits from its cardioid dispersion pattern.

Let Rod Conti, VP of Studio Remote Operations, Fox Sports remind you of the selection and performance of our intricate portable loudspeakers provide HERE!

Production Highlight:
The Concert of the Seven Decades & Beyond

The Miami Symphony Orchestra performed on stage reinforced with K-array's defined loudspeakers and subwoofers in The Concert of the Seven Decades & Beyond at the Ritz Carlton, South Beach, in partnership with Monad Studio in December of 2022.

Audio Visual consultants Pete Diaz Productions chose to utilize multiple K-array Pinnacle Systems on stage to amplify the entire orchestral performance of musical styles ranging from the 1950's all the way to the 2010's

Led by conductor Eduardo Marturet, the concert began with the classic swing sounds of Glen Miller's "In the Mood" and covered every musical genre in between. The Pitbull & Ne-Yo x Afrojack and Nayer hit, "Give me Everything", closed out the performance showing the broad depth of musical styles easily handled by the K-array Pinnacle system.
