“Dial H for Hitchcock” 2024 Alley Theatre Ball
The Alley Theatre Ball, a premier event in Houston, faced a common challenge for high-profile gatherings: ensuring exceptional audio quality without compromising the dramatic visual aesthetics of the "Dial H for Hitchcock" themed ball. With over 500 VIPs in attendance, the sound system needed to be powerful and clear, yet unobtrusive to photographers and guests.
The Events Co., the full service production company behind the event, selected 2 x K-array Pinnacle KR802 II Systems to address this challenge. K-array’s Pinnacle systems are integrated, self-powered speaker systems that are lightweight with plug and play capabilities. Two KR802 II are composed of two Thunder-KS4 subwoofers, two Thunder-KS4P subwoofers, eight Kayman-KY102 line array elements, mounting and flyware accessories, offering a unique combination of power, clarity, and discretion.
The Pinnacle's lightweight design provides incredible stability to fly up to 8 Pinnacle Kayman KY102 speakers with just 1 person in a few minutes. The hanging configuration of the Kayman-KY102 speakers provided even front to back coverage and allowed them to be integrated into the event's decor, ensuring they didn't distract from the elaborate Hitchcock themed environment. Despite its compact size, the KR802 II systems delivered exceptional sound quality, covering the entire venue with clear and even coverage.
The Alley Theatre Ball demonstrated the effectiveness of K-array's Pinnacle System in addressing the challenges of high-profile events.
